Carbon Reduction Plan

Carbon Reduction Plan

Tenora

At Tenora, we recognise our responsibility to contribute to the UK’s Net Zero target and are committed to reducing our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across all areas of our operations.

This Carbon Reduction Plan outlines our current emissions baseline, targets, and the steps we are taking to achieve net-zero emissions by 2045.

1. Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

Tenora.uk is committed to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2045, ahead of the UK Government’s 2050 target.

2. Current Emissions Reporting

We are in the process of conducting a detailed carbon audit to establish a baseline. In the interim, we acknowledge emissions across the following areas:

Scope 1 – Direct emissions:

  • Not currently applicable (we do not operate company-owned vehicles or manufacturing processes).

Scope 2 – Indirect emissions from purchased electricity:

  • Office electricity use (to be migrated to 100% renewable sources).

Scope 3 – Other indirect emissions:

  • Employee commuting
  • Business travel
  • Use of digital infrastructure and third-party service providers
  • Office waste and supplies

Baseline emissions data will be published upon completion of our audit in 2025.

3. Carbon Reduction Measures

We are actively implementing measures to reduce our carbon footprint, including:

Short-term (2024–2026):

  • Switch to 100% renewable energy suppliers for office operations
  • Encourage remote/hybrid work to reduce commuting
  • Reduce business travel; use video conferencing where possible
  • Introduce sustainable procurement and paperless processes
  • Establish annual emissions tracking

Mid-term (2027–2035):

  • Transition to low-emission hardware and infrastructure
  • Work exclusively with carbon-conscious suppliers
  • Implement energy efficiency improvements in office spaces
  • Offset remaining unavoidable emissions using accredited carbon offset projects

Long-term (2036–2045):

  • Achieve verified Net Zero status through combination of emissions reductions and credible offsets
  • Continue to innovate and improve sustainability performance

4. Monitoring and Reporting

Our carbon reduction progress will be reviewed annually. Key milestones and emissions data will be reported on our website and through internal sustainability reports. Adjustments will be made based on performance and technological advancements.

5. Declaration and Approval

This Carbon Reduction Plan is approved by the board of Tenora.uk and will be updated annually to reflect progress and changing targets.
